Jun. 2020 - Upcoming Mai Thai's Market (Former 4D Theater & Ape House)

Future cafe, ice cream shop and gift shop. Once home to Apes from the 50's to the 90's. Then acted as an event room, then a 4D theater, now this.
Though I doubt anyone will be wondering, it's called "Mai Thai" for a few reasons. For starters it's named after one of their elephants, who are located at the opposite side of the zoo. However, not only will the elephants be moved close to it in 2025, but this is just about the spot where elephant rides were once stationed - which included Mai Thai.

@Moebelle I was wondering why we didn't see the 27th park yesterday!

Do have any updates on how Roo Valley and the African penguin exhibit are progressing? Are they both still slated to open this year? Also, does the zoo no longer have any pinnipeds?

@pachyderm pro For Roo Valley, the rope course seems to be coming along, wouldn't be surprised if it was finished soon. Rock work for the most part is finished, but the fencing towards the street is basically non existent. The blue penguin's exhibit foundation is near completion, they just recently added the acrylic to the underwater view.

You can't get close to the African penguin construction, but from a distance the progress appears to be no different from what was shown on the Zoo's FB video. Wouldn't be surprised if both were opened in a couple months. And yes, this means no more pinnipeds.
