@snowleopard This new complex, though lacking some natural elements, definitely makes up for it with functionality, and creativity. Especially with the variety of guest vantage points for the tigers and apes. Designs I've never seen or heard of anywhere else. Hopefully you and others will see what I mean when I get around to uploading more photos.
Personally a lot of this exhibit feels overbuilt in my opinion. I see the human elements as dominating the landscape. I mean that's perfectly fine, although personal tastes apply and I guess I prefer viewing points that blend in more.
Definitely want to get to this zoo though. Maybe I'll swing through Ohio in 2022
