Am I the only one who does kinda like the concept of Night Hunters? Provided that natural substrate is in the indoor habitats and there are "chutes" to outdoor spaces.
@Moebelle Large spotted genets are still cool, and the list of small cats is absolutely unparalleled. On a side note, speaking of small cats, the Greensboro Science Center's new small cat exhibits (serval, sand cat, black footed cat and fishing cat) could be a good model for potential outdoor spaces at Cincinnati. I just see too much value in the murals as well as the zoo's nocturnal collection to tear the building down entirely.
@Wyman During my visits I usually think of the tour scripts as I go, and one of today's thoughts were, "the best thing about this building is the murals." I would hope the zoo would be able to cut them out and sell them... or use my idea cut out part of each one and recycle them as backdrops for large animal signage.
The other problem with replacing this is the same problem Night Hunters had to begin with - getting rid of some of their rarest animals.
