Reactions: German Zoo World
The Reptile House, also America\'s oldest existing zoo building, is a Turkish style facility that once showcased primates from the zoo\'s opening until 1951. The zoo has been exhibiting large collections of smaller reptiles since 1937. The Cincinnati Zoo has bred many endangered and threatened species that are rarely seen in zoos such as neotropical rattlesnakes, tree pythons, tree monitors, and rat snakes. Guests are able to encircle a rotunda of a variety of monitors, pythons, mambas, tortoises, and even frogs and salamanders behind glass. There is an open-topped exhibit in the center of the building where alligators and sliders co-exist. Even though the habitats are currently all indoors, the zoo is constructing the Reptile House\'s (not the buildings) first outdoor exhibit.

The indoor Galapagos tortoise exhibit is covered up and a sign says, "Animals Temporarily off Exhibit".
