Pop-up bubbles have become enormously popular in American zoos, showcasing a diverse list of captive wildlife. I've seen bubbles in exhibits for turtles, prairie dogs, meerkats, porcupines, rabbits, skunks, Komodo dragons (Virginia Aquarium), gorillas (Omaha), tigers and several other species. The line-up on the day of my visit was massive, and all to see a sleeping tiger!
Whenever I go, I normally see a huge line to go into the bubble, and there are always some people who are inconsiderate to others and spend way too much time in there. However, on my first visit to BGT, one of the tigers was sleeping right on top of the bubble! You could literally count all his teeth, and many people were thrilled to have an encounter with such a majestic animal.
