This exhibit held the last two Proboscis Monkeys in the US (sent to Singapore) before it held the langurs. The Proboscis Monkeys shared the exhibit with the zoo's Oriental Small-Clawed Otters (which is why there's a pool in the exhibit) and stayed there for a while after the zoo brought in Javan Langurs. They were eventually moved (sent to the Children's Zoo and to a less aquatic exhibit "shared" with Matschie's Tree Kangaroos) after they drowned one of the langurs.

I knew it was somewhere on ZooChat (that's where I first learned it) but I didn't know it was on the gallery already. At least it's now closer to the top of the gallery for now. Besides, what's the harm in posting an interesting and horrifying piece of zoo history twice?
