So apparently CARE holds another rescued Margay named Lucien who came to them in 2023. These are the only two captive Margay in the entirety of the US, one male and one female, and they are at a non-breeding rescue facility
@SusScrofa Yep! When I was there in 2022, the owner of the facility mentioned they had been in contact with some groups in Costa Rica and other areas in Central/South America about Juno since at the time they had just gotten her and weren't sure if she was gonna have to stay and they had wanted to breed her down there, but I think because of her state (she was false positive for FID and severely underweight, as well as super young) they kept her to nurse her up to health. I haven't been back in a bit but will probably go again sometime in the future, don't know if they have them socializing with one another or not, but very exciting and a pretty good cat sanctuary.
