Yala National Park, Sri Lanka. July 31st 2018. My first individual of this species in the wild (I would later see an adult in Ella). What a gorgeous bird. Luckily, like the grey-headed fish eagle in Bundala the day before, it couldn't be bothered by us and let us come quite close to it!
