The aquarium added an Antarctic Encounter in the early 1990's exhibiting two Penguin species which nest on the Antarctic Peninsula, the King Penguin came from San Antonia Sea World (they have the yellow area around its throat) and the Gentoo Penguin (the smaller of the two species)...
The intial Gentoo Penguin colony came from Edinburgh Zoo...
