I think Kesho resembles his father 'Harry' at Dublin Zoo. His grandfather 'Matz' at the Frankfurt Zoo was a very long-lived male with many offspring- one of his sons, 'Damisi' is the breeding male at Chessington, another, Akili, is successful at Artis in Holland. I first saw Matz at Frankfurt in 1968 very shortly after he arrived from America. Although already big, he shuffled around on his haunches because he had lived in a small cage in the US with no proper exercise, but his legs soon strenghtened up at Frankfurt. He only died a few years ago.
