Kestrel?

Seen in the French Alps.
tail feather pattern (Kestrel would have more stripes) and wing shape (more rounded than Kestrel)

Right. I was just wondering because I saw quite a few kestrels up there so I'm glad it was different species and was interested as to how you ID'd it with such an awful photo. I want to try and get better at IDing but at you can see, there is little hope :p
