Len Hill, the owner and creator of Birdland, bought the Jason Islands (part of the Falklands group) to conserve the wildlife. He brought some specimens back to the UK, including caracaras and this species, I believe. The Jasons are now owned by the Wildlife Conservation Society (New York).
