Kingdom of the Seas - South Polar Kingdoms Penguin Exhibit

One of the better penguin habitats in North America (but no Woodland Park!) and the fake snow that sometimes falls from the ceiling is a wonderful effect.

I gather they are sub-antartic penguins from the snow but what species in particular?

The zoo actually has 3 different penguin exhibits. This photo shows the indoor, Antarctic enclosure with king and rockhopper penguins; there is an Australian little penguin enclosure directly outside of the aquarium; and in the same exhibit with giraffes are African black-footed penguins in a different section of the zoo.

Yes this is a very penguin-filled zoo, I haven't seen this many since the New England Aquarium!

@snowleopard As of 2018 is this the only penguin exhibit at Omaha Zoo now?

@DavidBrown Yes, I believe that is the case. This penguin exhibit was basically left untouched after the 2012 renovation of the aquarium, other than a couple of massive screens being added off to the side.
