Which species?

Ruddy and Common kingfisher (bengalensis ssp.) I believe.

@UngulateNerd92 On second look it might just be Ruddy - the A.atthis bengalensis specimens are elsewhere in the zoo I believe.

@UngulateNerd92 No, but I've been doing a fair bit of research on it as I hope to visit this summer .

@amur leopard awesome. Let us know if you go and tell us how you like it. I have never been but I really want visit Ueno Zoo myself. Will you be visiting other Tokyo zoological institutions such as the Tama Zoo, Inokashira Park Zoo, and Tokyo Sea Life Park? or what about the National Museum of Nature & Science, also located in Tokyo near the Ueno Zoo?

@UngulateNerd92 I'll perhaps be visiting Inokishira, probably not Tama unfortunately, but other than that I'll likely go to Osaka Aquarium. I've considered about ten other institutions but decided against them due to time, money and logical restraints. The Museum of Nature and Science is definitely on the list of places I'd like to go as well - not sure I'll have time but I'll see.

Actually, the signage saids Blue and White Flycatcher and Common Kingfisher. The Flycatcher is in the top right area of the enclosure.
