Great photo! It's interesting to see this species in a zoological collection. It has a somewhat limited distribution in the wild in the United States including the southeastern corner of my state (Oklahoma). It's fairly common within it's range but my state recently prohibited the commercial trade in this species (as has Texas, Arkansas and maybe Louisiana) because it has become popular in the pet trade and there are no large-scale captive breeding facilities. I'm absolutely certain that this turtle was collected legally and this species is not endangered in the wild. I'm happy to see it in captivity and I hope this facility manages to breed it - the turtle in the photo appears to be in excellent condition!
@Summer Tanager la Ferme Tropicale is the biggest French reptile shop. They only show a very limited sample of what they actually have to sell but still a lot of species rarely presented in zoological collections. And it's free
