Western gorilla, adult male. I find it quite remarkable that all three of Paignton's younger males all seem to have had growth spurts this year and developed into silverbacks simultaneously. I think Kivu is the best-looking of them and the keepers say that he has the most laid back temperament. Gorilla Island, Paignton, 8th July 20126.
