Knoxville Zoo - African Elephant Exhibit

I have heard that Knoxville's elephants do a lot of rocking and swaying; the enclosure must not be too great

Great photo, I personally don't know much about the knoxville elephants but what I've read it's an awesome exhibit.

The enclosure is average at best, and on the day of my visit the pools had barely any water in them. The size and scope of the exhibit is far less than many other similar pachyderm paddocks in North American zoos.

It's definitely a lot better than it used to be. When I first visited ten years ago, they were kept in a rather barren courtyard-type exhibit. It looks like the zoo is gradually updating its displays.
