This historic structure opened in 1912 and is 32,700 sq. ft. in size. However, the noise created by the echoing effect that is prominent in the hallway must be a nuisance to the cats, and the indoor enclosures are basic cages that do not flatter the facility whatsoever. Even the outdoor yards are not the greatest, with the largest being the lion and tiger grottoes that are 40 years old.
