Thanks for the info! I also understand that (just as here in the US) There is quite a large private sector group of breeders in the UK. Any Private Breeders have kowari, or Tenrecs, that you know of over there?
There were a few Kowari in Private Hands here, descended from animals exported before the ban, but they died out about 10 years ago. Same for marsupial mice.

I'm not sure about kowari in private hands in the uk but all 5 spiny tenrec species are kept privately, I myself have quite a few lesser hedgehog tenrecs and am looking to add common tenrecs and greater hedgehog tenrecs to the collection in the next few years.

Interesting to hear, do you breed your tenrecs out of interest?
I was looking into getting some last year, but I didn't have the money at the time. Now I'm working and could get funds ready I can't find any for sale
