I went last year the enclosure is definately different to this but the old house is incoporated into the new one.
The enclosure is a howletts style with glass viewing areas and with alot of fake rocks is good to know that a new one was built has it started yet its been known that a new one is due for a year at least now.
It is abit small although there are 2 groups with Kumba and 1 female and all the rest with Damasi from paignton im pretty sure about this. Will Kumba and the female be staying in this enclosure or will it be demolished?
Thanks for any info.

Confirms he is still there but suffered a stroke (remembered this, so its probably why I got confused), It is also mentioned that the new enclosure could be built by 2010. For more detail and some pics check this thread out

Thanks for the link Mhale. I remember this enclosure very well and the 'old' Kumba, he was a character, always used to follow me slowly around. In many ways the new enclosure is better but the space itself seems to have greatly diminished, perhaps there is more indoor space, don't know. Thanks for the reminder of a great gorilla.
