LA Zoo - Feb 7, 2010

Serval now has access to the entire roundhouse area (both sides, with holding cage in middle open on both ends). Fence has also been replaced by one with larger spaces which makes it easier to photograph through. There are also three plastic tubes buried in the ground but sticking up where keepers can put dead mice, etc for the serval to try to grab.

Yeah, the zoo is waiting for a new female that should be arriving soon. The zoo hopes that once she arrives that they will breed, which is why the whole roundhouse was recently renovated. The plastic tubes are great, and he loves them!

Great photo BTW!!!
