Yohda/Yodha/Rama is an old friend for those of us who were Chester regulars in the late 80s and 90s.

I mucked him out once on a junior members event.

When did he leave Chester? I'm assuming he was kept in the old rhino house where Tsavo is now?

And I'm quite excited about the prospect of your Berlin zoo photo's Maguari, you know how engrossed I got in the Tierpark ones! :D

He left in 1998, officially because they had been unable to pair him up at Chester, and I believe went straight to Berlin. He was kept in the Rhino House (the one that now has the warthogs in one end). I suspect he moved about, but I always associate him most with the furthest paddock, next to the prairie marmots (as it was at the time).

You've certainly managed to whet my appetite! :D
I think he may well have been the first Indian rhino I ever saw... :)

He's definitely the biggest Indian Rhino I've ever seen. Maybe because I could see him up close in the rhino house but he really is massive.
