They are replacing their big cats with armadillo and serval? What is going on in here? Is it because these exhibits are slated for demolition and replacement?
@DavidBrown it’s a little bit of both. They used to be indoor exhibits for the zoo’s Lions and Tigers, but they rarely decided to use them, and were almost always outside, even during the middle of winter. I’m guessing that because of this the zoo decided to convert the exhibits for other species. It is also true that these exhibits are slated to be replaced with a modern carnivore complex, although we’ll wait and see if that ever happens.
