@Gigit I really think this is a priority for the zoo - to erect some telegraph poles and regain the height they once had. We know there are issues with drainage, funding and access, but it is a travesty they are forced onto sodden ground and looks like they’re in a deforested scene from the ‘last red ape’.
 
@TriUK I do find it rather strange that various monkey enclosures are having climbing structures replaced while the arboreal apes get nothing - apart from what looks like a leftover from a children's park. Even the platforms on a pole next to the house where they like to sit are falling apart (helped by Natty it has to be said!). And if it is work that can only be done in the summer, as I've heard before, then another year has been missed.
