I agree with you that it is a species of Leporinus but, like you, wasn't sure which; however I thought that Leporinus friderici seemed the most likely candidate although there are other species that are very similar.

Yes, L friderici looks close, but I have never kept any of these fishes and I am not sure how much their markings change as they mature - so I am playing it safe
