Interestingly enough "The Tunnel" was originally built in the 1950's! It must have seemed extraordinary at the time and it was 160 feet long, the walls were 12 feet apart, and the ceiling was 9 feet high. The exhibit was renovated and updated in 1989 with a new name: "Life Underground".
