Lion Enclosure

Soona, do you know how many acres/hectares we're looking at, just for the lion enclosure?

I'm not entirely sure, it's often said that the lion enclosure could fit the whole of Adelaide Zoo inside, which would make it at least 8 hectares.

Thats 20 acres! Absoulutly spectacular for lions!

I wonder if they catch any rabbits in this enclosure?

They have been known to catch rabbits, I believe there is a number living in the enclosure that the staff haven't been able to remove. I believe there's a video on youtube of the young male Inkosi catching a rabbit.

Young rabbits would be able to fit through the fence. When I was there a few years ago the tour guide said rabbits get in with the wild dogs, and it was a one way trip.
