Polar bears and cheetas were already gone before 1998.
the last puma, maned wolves, south american sea lions (and many other animals) were sent to other zoos. Including two African lions and two jaguars (to Chester).
The California sea lion and Malayan bear died after the management change.
The other large cats, including black leopard Azzurrino, died after some years.
Alfredo the black lemur died recently after another male was introduced in the Bioparco.

The lions were sent to Leipzig, for maned wolf you should look at the studbook.
the jaguars are now preserved in the National Museum of Scotland. The female was a black one.

I'm sorry to tell you my dear chap but as far as I know no wild cats were born in Rome in the last 12 years. Now there's hope for Asiatic lions and Persian leopards. The problem is that Bioparco's ones are still too young.
