The exhibit is indeed average in size. Comparing the two exhibits, the Jaguar exhibit looks bigger than this one. The whole exhibit is basically a desert. Hopefully the grasses and trees grow fast as the exhibit just looks plain.
I think for jaguars an exhibit of this size is excellent, but for lions it is probably average. I was told the jaguar enclosure is over 2500 square feet and is thus a very good size for a jaguar, not to mention they have the enclosure on top of their holding.
