Frankfurt built a very amazing Cat House instead of the old one, but unfortunately there are still even worse Cat Houses in Germany than the old House at Franfurt, for example the Cat House at Wuppertal....
@snowleopard. How do you can know about a letharcic life style of the Frankfurt Tigers altough you've never been there ? Thats interesting. I'm grown up with that zoo, because Frankfurt is my hometown, for several years, from the late eighties until mid ninety's, I've visteted this zoo almost every day, so I've seen the tigers quite often and I sure you, none of all the cats in the old lion house were letharcig....
Whats the Diffrence between this indoor cage and the new indoor cage at the Cat-Jungle, Snowleopard ? The Size ? No, the old cage was bigger. The high ? Only two diffrences, glass instead of fence, and I sure glass isn't pretty good for cats, belive me. A lot of them scratching the glass, because the cats try to attack visitors through the window, so the expensive glass has often to be replaced...And the reflection is not very comfortable for the big cats......Oh yes, they are a few living plants in the indoor exhibit, the ctas detroyed them very quickly after the opening. The tigers had everything what they needed in the old cages also. And after the lions move dto Stauutagrt, the tigers had a big and very naturalistic exhibit with a big water moat, enough hiding places, shade and sun places, rocks and a sand bath....
