They don't seem to be breeding from these anymore- there are the same number(4) as there were on my last visit seven years ago. Maybe they are on contraceptives nowadays?
The group male is on the left(looking at the photo)- he has exposed canines on one side.

Why would they do that? Especially seeing as they are an endangered species. They could have bred 1 and another 1 had died since your visit 7 years ago.

Because they can't always place offspring. The EEP sometimes recommend no breeding. Bristol's Liontails are on contraceptives.
The fact that all four are fully adult makes me think there hasn't been any breeding here recently. I couldn't find anyone to ask unfortunately. Maybe you can?

Being on contraceptives could be the reason there's no breeding(or appears not to be)- but there may be a different reason. e.g. infertility or no mating.
At one time Colchester had 9 Liontailed macaque but they sent away the surplus males and a couple of older females died too- leaving the current small group.
Like Pertinax said, I was also just offering suggest as to why the current group SEEMS not to be breeding. Although the animals in this picture do look quite old.

Colchester's original females were three bred at Bristol. At Colchester they produced several males which were later sent to France. From memory the Colchester group now consists of (maybe) one of their original females, two daughters born there and a male- either their father or another unrelated one brought in to replace him.
It would be interesting to know if/why they aren't breeding nowadays.
