A great experience, but disappointing you have to pay extra for so many things at Monarto including the lemur walkthrough. I’d rather they doubled or even tripled admission and everything was then free. It be the most expensive zoo in the region, but surely worth the visit.
I believe part of the reasoning was around reducing foot traffic; but Auckland Zoo’s tropical dome had heavy foot traffic for the first few months and things calmed down as soon as the novelty wore off.
