Little Blue Penguins

That's a large group of Blue Penguins - especially for a U.S. zoo! I'm impressed!

@Summer Tanager If im not mistaken they have the largest colony of little blues in the US (i think they have 35-45)

@ZooNerd Wow! I didn't know that there were any colonies that large in the U.S.! I think I counted 26 penguins in your photo and I thought that was pretty amazing! This species really seems to be catching on in the U.S. I'm probably wrong, but I don't think that any U.S. zoos kept this species 30 years ago; now, it looks like there are at least six colonies - Louisville, Cincinnati, Bronx, Dallas World Aquarium, Birch Aquarium, and Albuquerque!

@Summer Tanager Adventure Aquarium in New Jersey has a colony as well.
I’m happy to see more breeding success with this species in the U.S. as well!
