local wildlife sign

July 29, 2019, Tonto Natural Bridge State Park, Arizona.
Sign displaying some of the common local wildlife at Tonto Natural Bridge State Park in my state of Arizona. I was there on a hot summer afternoon (worst time for wildlife viewing) and yet I managed to see three of the species on this list (raven, javelina, coue's deer). Over the years I believe I have seen all of these species in the wild in Arizona except for cedar waxwing. (Edit - maybe not raccoon either in Arizona, though seen elsewhere).

One species not listed here that is prominent in the visitor center displays is white-nosed coati. According to staff, they were being seen frequently on the cliffs across the stream from visitor up until three weeks before my visit.

Followup - I remembered I have seen raccoon in Arizona. It was in the savanna exhibit at Phoenix Zoo during a summer night opening.
