Lory Loft - Seychelles Magpie-robin (Copsychus sechellarum)

What!? What's the story behind this bird? How do they have a Seychelles Magpie-Robin?

@Chlidonias Seems like there is only one specimen, so it might be a confiscated animal.

I was very surprised to see the title, I would guess it was smuggled as well. I'd be interested to know the story behind it and how long they've had it!

Hi there, was this animal signed as C. sechellarum?

I've posted this animal on my social media page with this ID, however a local aviculture expert disagrees with this ID and says a lot of Indonesian birds sport this look as well.

@BucerosKeeper hi, this bird is not signed but i understand it is listed in the park records as C.sechellarum. It is not evident in this photo, but if you look at the other photo of the same bird i posted, you'll see the bird's torso is completely black. C.saularis will have a white belly - even the Indonesian subspecies i believe.
