There are currently no unrelated females anywhere. All of the captive animals came from the same source, a pair at LA. There are 2 animals that are not related in Colombia, but they are not in a breeding situation and are still to young to breed. The pair at Cali Zoo came from LA.
 
No, this species has been fairly easy to care for. It took a while to get them on a good diet.
 
This is another animal where someone has to decide what to do with the animals held in captivity, because as they stand they are not self-supporting.

Whether they should go back to a centre in a host-range country, or more animals brought in from the wild is a moot point. What do others think?
