Los Angeles Zoo - Ring-tailed Lemur Exhibit

August 2008. There are more than 20 of these C-section style exhibits at the Los Angeles Zoo, and I believe that this style of exhibitry is unique to this zoo. The photo shows about half of the enclosure, and zoo visitors walk into the middle of the horseshoe-shaped enclosures. Some of them contain one large exhibit that curves around in a C-shape, while others have 3 exhibits in total. Overall, and on a personal level, I think that I'd either renovate or bulldoze every single one of them.

As many people don't know, the zoo was in a stand still for about 30 years without any city support. The zoo was the same with out any renovation or new exhibits for almost 30 years, which explains all those C-shape exhibits. The zoo is starting to renovate some of them, and the first one was the Komodo Dragon exhibit, which is amazing. The Mandrill was renovated, but it still looks the same. The next one to be renovated is the Serval exhibit.

This exhibit is disgusting! Hopefully the roundhouses all die with the new master plan
