Luray Zoo - King cobra exhibit

I don't think that I've ever seen such a bare-bones, functional King Cobra exhibit. It's certainly not difficult to spot the snake!

@MonkeyBat In terms of animal welfare, using turf is actually a pretty standard accepted substrate for many reptile species. Its easy to clean so its good for hygiene, and is reusable unlike paper products. In terms of exhibiting the species in a natural setting it is certainly sub-par, but looking over the photos of this facility I dont think immersive design is high on the list of priorities.

@snowleopard This one has more than most of the snakes do and seems to be a favorite of the owners, as it's in media photos I've come across (being handled without any safety precautions). I definitely thought of your travels while walking around this place!
