A pair of eastern black rhinos (Diceros bicornis michaeli) inside the Rhino House in the Africambo section of Magdeburg Zoo. Magdeburg Zoo has had great breeding success with this species.

Inside the Rhino House are also indoor viewings for Tanzanian black-and-white colobus (Colobus angolensis palliates), dwarf mongoose (Helogale parvula) and cape ground squirrel (Xerus inauris) as well as a couple of reptiles.

The Africambo I area is the first phase of the new African savannah area opened in 2010. The whole area is 20.000 m2 and features many African savannah animals. The second part, Africambo II, will feature a new elephant exhibit.
