Magdeburg Zoo - Africambo (Rhino House)

The backstage area of the Rhino House in the Africambo section of Magdeburg Zoo. In here live several eastern black rhinos (Diceros bicornis michaeli). There is also a public viewing exhibit in the Rhino House.

During the summer Magdeburg Zoo has ?open houses? during the daytime where visitors can enter the backstage animal houses and even walk around inside the exhibits while guides give presentations on the animal care at the zoo. A brilliant concept!

The Africambo I area is the first phase of the new African savannah area opened in 2010. The whole area is 20.000 m2 and features many African savannah animals. The second part, Africambo II, will feature a new elephant exhibit.
