Aviary Park is currently the only known holder of this species that publicly displayed it, while TMII currently keep them off-display.
This a true Ictinaetus malaiensis, other holders like Surabaya Zoo and Eco Active Park which claim to have this species, turns out to be a dark-variant of the changeable hawk-eagle (Nisaetus cirrhatus limnaetus).
