Malayan eagle-owl (Ketupa sumatrana sumatrana) - Animalium BRIN

This facility also have the usual subspecies K. s. strepitans from Java next to this bird, so I have time to compare the two.

The nominate subspecies are found in the Thai-Malay Peninsula, Singapore, Riau Archipelago, Sumatra, and Bangka Island. They're smaller in size and have less notable barring on their chest plumage.
