Good pic, although I think these poles add a potential risk, purely because they can't be gripped. The female fell off a low one when I visited, hope she never falls from the top...

Malayan Sun Bears at RSCC

Rare Species Conservation Centre has a young pair of Malayan Sun Bears. Srey Ya, the female and Jo-Jo, the male Sun Bear were confiscated by Government Anti-Poaching Patrols in Cambodia in 2006 and 2007 respectively. The female was found in a small village in central Cambodia, and the male was confiscated in Ratanakiri Province in North-eastern Cambodia when only six month old. He was being kept as a pet in a local bar to amuse visitors. After that he was found and taken into the care of Free the Bears. Rare Species Conservation Centre have been given Srey Ya and Jo-Jo on loan by the Government of the Royal Kingdom of Cambodia, as ambassadors of their species. The bears arrived at RSCC in late December 2007, and excluding Belfast Zoo they are the only ones of its kind in the UK at the moment.

Main picture: Srey Ya
Enclosed pictures: 1. Jo-Jo 2. You can see how playful they are ...

They are very playful and fun to watch. However I doubt they'd breed due to being human reared and the zoo not having the facilities to properly seperate them.
