Male Giant Anteater

Gilberto, adult male (was born in London).

A great picture. He is my favourite animal at the zoo.

Does anyone know where Silver, the baby anteater went ?

I haven't seen him for ages, and there's no info about any move .

His name is Silva (was born in December 2007). He is still living at Colchester Zoo, in the old Fossa enclosure at the moment.

Ah, that's quite a clever name considering the origins of his dad's name

Thanks Orycteropus (now you've said it, I do know his name is Silva, not Silver !) ...... I didn't realise he was still at the zoo and am not quite sure how I've managed to miss him over several visits ....... it'd be helpful if they could put up a notice at the anteater enclosure directing visitors accordingly.
