mandrill cages

some of the series of nasty mandrill cages. Concrete walls painted with jungle scenes, a bit of play equipment and not much else. All very small. All viewable through windows from two levels (ground and from the raised walk). Most of them had two or three mandrills in each enclosure. You might be able to see from this photos how there is just a continuing series of near-identical cages one behind the other. It is a really odd set-up.

Mandrills being free- breeders, my guess would be they have over time filled up more and more cages with ones bred there.
