@lintworm It isn't. Maybe you're seeing something I'm not? From this photo it doesn't look bad to me, although perhaps a different angle would change my mind.
 
@birdsandbats I see a tiny to small cage with 0 privacy, very limited structure, limited enrichment and little natural vegetation. It looks like an extremely boring environment to me. The only good thing is that they did not waste money on mock rock to make it look nice.
 
Isn't that area in the back some hides? I also see a swing but do agree that some more enrichment would improve this enclosure immensely.
 
The enclosure does seem to have a back area but that sort of mean nothing if the door is shut down taking away the animals’ right to choose to get in.

@birdsandbats even if this enclosure is acceptable, it is not good for a mandrill. If this enclosure is to be fixed without being torn down then it needs a smaller species such as parakeets, smaller primates, or pheasants. The mandrills must go.
 
The mandrill enclousure has been greatly expanded with the smaller primates which were next to it sent to a new addition to Africam Safari called Arboterra.
