Manta - Bat Ray Aquarium Underwater Viewing

  • Date added
September 2014. This rollercoaster has 2 animal exhibits nearby. One is a large aquarium for bat ray feeding that is at the ride entrance building. Visitors who do not go on the ride can still feed and pet the rays from the surface, and can descend down to an underwater viewing room. Numerous other fish species also inhabit the exhibit, although the identification signage is video monitors that cycle through the species and I did not note them. This aquarium was formerly Forbidden Reef (filled with moray eels and bat rays) and originally was for Japanese pearl diving demonstrations! The other exhibit is a very large lagoon containing Caribbean flamingo.
