I really liked it, my only issues were one or two spellings on signs! It was just my kind of place, being small, friendly and full of animals. I was sorry to drop Tropiquaria from my usual visits in order to go, but I was very pleased I went (in view of the prolonged showers I suffered at Exmoor the following day {it was dry a couple of miles away!}, and apologies if you are reading this Derek, I wish I'd dropped Exmoor instead - unthinkable before the day though. I was told at Axe Valley I had set a new record for a length of stay as I arrived at 9.55 to find the place already open (I hope I had not missed too much opening as I had arrived in Axminster at 9.05 and could have walked there earlier) and left reluctantly when it closed at 5 o'clock. In a couple of weeks I shall have lots more photos to post as I took my full memory card (1725 photos) from my SLR to a well known high street store yesterday, so when I get them back I shall scan some. Axe Valley certainly had the most photogenic Giant Water Rails I have encountered - no skulking in the undergrowth or making a swift departure.
