Hey @KevinB this zoo, which I thought was fantastic when I visited in 2019, reminds me a lot of your beloved Planckendael. Both are modern zoos with natural-looking exhibits and there are trails that lead off and return to a central location. In my opinion, ZOOM's farm area is pleasant, Alaska is mostly brilliant, Africa is also of a really high level, and the smaller Asia loop is good but not quite at the same heights. There's very few poor exhibits anywhere in Gelsenkirchen.
