Map of the whole zoo 2003

A few animals on there are a bit of a surprise - I only remember blackbuck in the current warty pig/spotted deer paddock, but it seems that both hog deer and mouflon were also there. I also don't remember the Ibis Walk aviary ever having so many native waders (I just remember sacred ibis, little egret and African spoonbill).

It's also interesting to see how many birds there were, compared to now. A lot of the bird display areas are now flattened beneath more recent developments, but a few of them (the Ibis Walk, Parrot Rock and the egret/ibis aviary near the penguins) still stand and have just been left empty.

Thanks for uploading!

What a lovely list of species - some that I've not yet had the privilege of seeing.
